GEDA MINI / MAXI

Support and remedy for challenges with the GEDA MINI / MAXI.

The rope winch does not work despite the drive command?
Control fuse not functioning or fault in the slack rope switch (safety-stop function).
Disconnect the MINI/MAXI from the power supply. Let check the function of the control fuse by authorized personnel and let replace in the event of a fault.

GEDA MINI: To reach the control fuse, the motor cover must be removed. 1x fuse (5x20) 230V / T 250mA; 1x fuse (5x20) 230V / T 63mA. GEDA MAXI: The control fuse is located on the outside of the triangular winch frame. It is above the blue plug of the manual control (see picture). 1x fuse T 2,0 A.

Check the position and function of the slack rope switch.

The slack rope switch stops the drive command in both directions when the rope is slack (safety stop function). Details for the function as well as the visual inspection of the slack rope switch holder can be watched in the video. If the slack rope switch holder is bent, contact authorized personnel for repair.

Rope winch only moves downwards. Upward operation is not possible or only possible for a short time.
Reduce potenzial causes due to further steps.
The function of the gas pressure spring may no longer be given. Does the gas pressure spring already show a clear movement when starting up with the maximum rated load and does it switch the winch off again directly?

If yes, the gas pressure spring is defective. Contact qualified personnel for further steps.

Gas pressure spring is stable when giving a up command, but winch does not pull carry upwards payload.

If the rope winch does not pull the maximum payload load or significantly less load, the capacitors or stator may be malfunctioning. Inform qualified personnel for further checks.

Is the rope spooled onto the drum on one side?
In order to achieve a suitable spooling behaviour of the rope, the MAXI must be aligned.

How can an unevenly spooled drum get made to a well spooled drum?
Unwind the rope according to the details in the video and spool the rope as described.
Note: The spool behavior shown in the video is only possible when the MAXI is aligned as described in section 1.

Does the swivel arm no longer swivel easily?
The swivel arm may not be positioned correctly and is force loaded diagonally.
Position the swivel arm according to the details of the video.
